Janice Ziccardi

Janice Elizabeth Ziccardi, 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday, January 28, 2020.  She was born in Jersey City, NJ, the daughter of the late John and Lillian Babich. She graduated from Saint Aloysius High School also in Jersey City. “Jan" then obtained her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree from Jersey City Medical Center.
Later, Janice moved and spent most of her life in Ocean Gate, NJ and was a L.P.N. at Community Medical Hospital in Toms River, NJ, for most of her 30 year career. Janice was also a member of The Ocean Gate Fire Auxiliary and other volunteer organizations throughout her life.

She was a devoted mother who was very involved in every aspect of her children's lives and provided a very loving, warm, and nurturing home for them. She is survived by her beloved granddaughter, Evelyn Gaven, daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Kevin Gaven, son, Philip J. Ziccardi, sisters Mary Babich, Elizabeth Marino and brother-in-law, Tony Marino, and many nieces and nephews. Janice was predeceased in life by her loving husband, Philip L. Ziccardi, sisters, Debra McCord and Karen Babick, and brother, John Babich.
