Joan was very active communicant of Wadsworth Ave. Baptist Church, NYC & Grace Baptist Church, Nanuet, NY. Joan was a Sunday school teacher & she was a member of the Choir & Bell Choir of Grace Baptist Church. Beloved wife of Freeman B. Smith. Devoted mother of Ellen Louise Brown, James M. Smith & Jeffrey P. Smith. Also survived by 10 loving grandchildren & 1 loving great-grandson. Funeral from Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ, 07675, Phone # 201-664-0292.
